LeRoy _Angela_Aux_freiEinlass: 20:30 Beginn 21:00 h  Eintritt: 8 €
Helium, lass rieseln, lass sandeln … Popcorn!

Belp
„A dub label, from all places in the world, Munich…“ it was said in 2013 when BELP started the JAHMONI label project, and he adds: „… prior to that Munich had a crisis for at least a decade or so with people constantly moving to Berlin and leaving behind a backwards-oriented mainstream culture hanging on to Munich’s old disco days with little international relevancy.“
„In recent years UK Bass has become a real thing tho, as we see lots of young people getting together in small collectives making stuff happen DIY-style. It actually fits very well with Munich as a counter-culture to the conservative & posh surface. Right now we have this phase where little groups actively reach out trying to find like-minded people in this 2 million urban area – as things were previously hidden away deep in the underground – trying to further establish a small but growing UK Bass scene, putting Munich back on the map.“

„Sound-wise it can be said that the flavor of UK Bass coming from Munich is a bit more surreal, dreamy, experimental & flow-oriented, perhaps touching on the city’s krautrock heritage a bit…“ BELP has a rather unusual mix aesthetic giving little nods to things like noise, drone and glitch while keeping with some idea of afro-futurism and tribal spiritualism. A split 10″ with Top Shotta from Ruffhouse Munich and a full 12″ Album will be released by BELP this year.“
